Kenmode Invests in Innovative New Cleaning Equipment to Elevate Operations

Kenmode, a world leader in complex, high-precision custom metal stampings and assemblies has introduced innovative new cleaning equipment to its operations. Implemented earlier this year, Kenmode introduced the Aquamaster CB parts washer and the Baron Blakeslee M-Series Vapor degreaser.

“Our electric vehicle and medical component clients asked us to take our cleaning operations in-house and we acted on it," said Tom Skibinski, Vice President of Operations. "By investing in this equipment, we now have better control and can deliver faster turnaround times.”

In two new eBooks, Kenmode shares inside information from leading metal finishing experts and provides advice on optimal material selection. The ebooks were written to assist engineers at OEMs and Tier Suppliers as they develop specifications for metal stamped parts. Kenmode engineers helped to develop the eBooks based on their experience producing metal stampings for a broad range of industrial applications including automotive, busbars, electronics, insert molding, and medical devices.

As demand for electric vehicles has exploded in recent years, Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping has been adding new technical capabilities to produce custom busbars to transmit power in all types of electric vehicles, whether hybrid, all-electric, or autonomous (self-driving). Founded in 1960, Kenmode has produced precision metal stamped parts for the automotive and electronics industries for decades. To meet the need for new busbar designs, including larger parts, Kenmode recently added a 300-ton press for metal stamping.

Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping Awarded International Certifications for Quality and Environmental Management Systems

Algonquin, Ill. – Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping has earned three new international certifications for quality and environmental standards. The certifications include two new standards from the International Organization for Standardization – the ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality management systems and the ISO 14001:2015 standard for environmental management systems – and IATF 16949:2016 for automotive quality systems.

Kenmode Names Tom Skibinski as Vice President of Operations

Kenmode announced the appointment of Thomas Skibinski as its new Vice President of Operations. Mr. Skibinski brings more than 20 years of experience in precision metal stamping, serving the automotive, electronics, insert molding, and medical industries. Most recently, he was Vice President of Operations at a metal stamping firm where he had full profit-and-loss accountability for the entire organization. Earlier, Mr. Skibinski worked for Aurora Metals Division, a contract foundry and machine shop with extensive casting and machining capabilities. He began his career there as an estimator and was promoted through multiple positions during his 12-year tenure, ultimately finishing as manager of manufacturing.
