Punch Press Operator (1st/2nd Shift)

Position Summary

We are expanding our workforce and are searching for Operators to join the Kenmode team on 1st and 2nd shift! The Punch Press Operator monitors all punch press machines following production plan provided. With the assistance of another operator, ensures machines are running smoothly, checks for defects in product and packages final product. 

• Visually inspect all production runs frequently, checking parts for defects (burrs, chips, missing features, surface defects) and any other visual standards called out on print using approved first piece sample for comparison.

• Work with setup person or level A operator to make sure there is full understanding of how to properly check part before running job following all safety measures i.e. guards and safeties in place and operational

• Check dimensions called out on floor sheet using micrometer, vernier and gages.

• Label packages, ensuring accuracy by following set up instructions and work order.

• Assist set up person and level A operator during job transitions which can include: sweeping, mopping, and clean up the press work area.

• Lubricates machine and tool as required for proper cycle; checks oil levels, leader pin, etc. and fills reservoir with stamping oil

Requirements

• HS Diploma, equivalent or combination of education and experience

• Work experience within the manufacturing industry preferred

Hours and Salary

• 1st shift- 7am - 3:30pm, M-F

• 2nd shift - 3:30pm- 12am, M-F 

• starting pay $16 but depends on experience

  • Add 12% shift premium to 2nd shift hourly rate
