Sensor Technician (1st shift)

Position Summary

We are searching for Sensor Technician to join the Kenmode team on 1st shift! The Sensor Technician will provide assistance to the Production and Tool Maintenance department. The Sensor Technician will ensure the appropriate sensors are operating per requirements. They are responsible for troubleshooting, operating and servicing the punch press sensors and associated operations ensuring the equipment meets the necessary requirements and specifications.

Other responsibilities include -

  • Handle all sensor related problems in the pressroom (i.e., new programs, adjustments, troubleshooting)
  • Sensor verification on new setups (verify all sensors are operational and programmed correctly)
  • Installation of new sensor systems
  • Maintain existing sensor systems on current dies
  • Manufacture all sensor holders, covers, etc.
  • Create, perform and follow all work instructions
  • Support pressroom as needed
  • Assist department with various tasks as needed
Requirements

  • HS Diploma, equivalent or combination of education and experience
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience related to Tool and Die
  • Prior vision system and PLC experience preferred

  • Ability to operate under tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to assure accuracy and completeness of records and data
  • Ability to attend specialized classes as needed
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English

Hours and Salary

  • 1st shift - 7AM-3:30PM, some OT available but not guaranteed
  • $20 to $32 depending on experience
