Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping is an event sponsor for this summer’s public art show, "Ships Set Sail," in Algonquin. Kenmode sponsored the sailboat “Brain Storm,” which was created by Amber’s Art Place in Crystal Lake.

“Art students ‘brain stormed’ and designed imagery using symbolism to create a visual of how right brain creativity and left brain logic are inter-connected … or not,” according to Amber’s Art Place.

“Kenmode has been part of the Algonquin community since 1960, and we are proud to support the Village in its 10th annual summer art show,” said Kurt Moders, president of Kenmode. “We think our boat theme is fitting, because Kenmode helps customers develop critical components of new products, which requires putting both creativity and logic to work, including a lot of brainstorming throughout the development process.”

The Brain Storm ship is located at the corner of Washington and Jefferson Streets in downtown Algonquin. All 16 ships will be on display through October. A map of the locations is available at Algonquin.org/ships.
