Achieves Highest Automotive Quality Standard - ISO/TS 16949

Kenmode Precison Metal Stamping has turned the global economic downturn into an opportunity to upgrade its manufacturing facilities, retrain employees, invest in additional equipment, and achieve the highest level of quality standards in the automotive industry, known as ISO/TS 16949. The international certification that Kenmode recently achieved comes in addition to the ISO 9001 standard for quality manufacturing, which Kenmode has maintained since 1994, and applies to all the precision metal parts the company manufactures, ranging from micro stampings to large steel components for autos, electronics, consumer goods and medical devices, as well as insert molding.

"Kenmode has been affected by the economic downturn along with our customers, particularly in the automotive industry, but we decided to use this period to reinvest in our company and our people, and to upgrade our facilities and our quality systems," said Kurt Moders, President, Kenmode.  Although the ISO/TS 16949 registration is specific to the automotive industry, our ability to deliver the highest quality in manufacturing will benefit all our customers in every industry. We intend to be in a stronger competitive position when the economic recovery begins."

The ISO/TS 16949 registration was certified by Underwriters Laboratories, which also registers Kenmode's ISO 9001 certification for the manufacture of high-speed precision metal stampings and the assembly of metal components. Along with achieving the new registration, Kenmode also has reorganized its manufacturing plant, instituted new training programs for employees, and developed a long-range strategic plan to further strengthen the company's position in the marketplace.

Since its founding in 1960, Kenmode has built a reputation for strict adherence to uncompromised quality and performance standards. Today, Kenmode fields one of the largest and most experienced engineering, design, and tool & die teams in the industry, known for their ability to make the complex simple - by streamlining the parts design and production process,  reducing complexity, and driving down costs and time-to-market for customers worldwide.
