QC Inspector

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the first piece inspection and in-process measurement of various parts in the electronic, automotive and medical industries among others. The Quality Inspector will also:

• Visually inspect and check parts for defects (burrs, chips, missing features, surface defects) and any other visual standards called out on print using approved first piece sample for comparison
• Enter part dimensions onto internal computer system
• Remove and contain defective parts found after inspection
• Report problems and defects to the Quality Manager

Requirements

• HS Diploma, equivalent or combination of education and experience
• Minimum of three years' experience working in Quality, Metal Stamping/Manufacturing industry preferred
• Able to read blueprints
• Must be available to work overtime on Saturday

Skills and Abilities

• Able to use micrometer, caliper and microscope
• Prior experience using optical comparator, vision requirement system, and CMM strongly preferred

Hours and Salary

• 2nd shift 3:30pm - Midnight, M-F
• $24 - $32/hr. depending on experience, plus 12%-night shift premium
