Kenmode Tool & Engineering, Inc. is a precision metal stamper who has been in business for over 60 years.

Kenmode facilities employ the most advanced technology for design, production, inspection, packaging, and shipping - to ensure precise conformance to customer requirements for diverse industries anywhere in the world. Kenmode specializes in automotive stampings, medical stampings, electrical stampings, and metal stampings for insert molding applications.

We are seeking Tool and Die Maker Apprentices with a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills. 

  • A tool and die maker apprentice will learn to operate various machine tools and equipment to make and repair special tools, dies, jigs and fixtures
  • In related Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship instruction, students will learn basic theory in machining, blueprint reading, and metallurgy in addition to advanced theory in stamping, blanking, jigs and fixtures. Die design is also covered.

Requirements

  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills
  • Must have proven mechanical aptitude, be analytical and make sound decisions pertaining to job functions
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and be cooperative and work well in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid math skills including geometry
  • Professional work ethic including dependability, verbal and written communication skills, ability and willingness to learn new things
  • Ability and willingness to work all assigned hours, including overtime and attend evening and/or weekend classes
  • As part of our hiring process, candidates must pass an entrance exam, background check and drug/alcohol test

Hours and Salary

  • 1st shift- 7am - 3:30pm, M-F
  • Must attend evening or weekend classes
  • starting pay $19 per hour, depending on experience
